Forging is an important processing means in today's industry

Forging is a processing method using the forging press to exert pressure on the metal billet to produce plastic deformation to obtain specific mechanical properties, certain shape and size forgings. Forging is a very old metal processing technology. Since ancient times, human beings have been making metal swords through forging processes and changing the properties of metal through forging. After the deformation and recrystallization of metal parts, the original coarse dendrites and columnar grains are changed into recrystallized structures with fine grain size and uniform size. The original segregation, porosity, porosity and slag inclusion in the ingot have been pressed and welded, and the microstructure becomes tighter. The plastic and mechanical properties of metal parts have been improved. At the same time, the forging process can ensure the continuity of the metal fiber structure, making the fiber structure of the forgings consistent with the shape of the forgings, the complete metal streamline, the better mechanical properties and longer service life. Therefore, the mechanical properties of forged parts are generally better than those of casting and rolling parts of the same material. In mechanical parts with high load and severe working conditions, forgings are often used in addition to simply shaped rolled plates, profiles or welds.

In modern industry, forging, as an old technology, not only tends to decay, but has long been new, and many of the metal parts working in various complex environments have been forged. Fast mass aluminum alloy forging represents high, fine, sharp industrial, transportation, and military products. It is more necessary to use forged parts to meet the demanding requirements, such as steam generator, pressure vessel, turbine blade, large generator rotor, turbine disk and turbine blade of the power station. The main beam, spacer and landing gear support of the aircraft must be forged. Some of these parts are large in volume, complex in structure and hard to be subjected to force conditions. It is necessary to use forging equipment with a very large forging force to be processed. This is the use of large hydraulic machines.
